The graphs below show the numbers of male and female workers in 1975 and 1995 in several employment sectors of the Republic of Freedonia.

The bar charts illustrate the employment distribution of men and women across six job sectors in Freedonia for the years 1975 and 1995.

Overall, in 1975, men dominated all employment sectors, with particularly wide gaps in manufacturing, finance, and defence. By 1995, however, the gender gap had significantly narrowed, with women surpassing men in some sectors and achieving near parity in others.

In 1975, the public/non-defence sector had the highest overall employment, with men slightly outnumbering women. The most significant gender disparity was observed in manufacturing, where around 650 men were employed per 1,000 workers, compared to only 300 women. Similarly, men outnumbered women substantially in finance/banking and the defence sector. Communication was the only field with a nearly equal gender split.

By 1995, female employment saw a remarkable rise. Women overtook men in both the communication and wholesale/retail trade sectors and matched their male counterparts in finance. While manufacturing remained male-dominated, the gender gap persisted without notable change. In the defence sector, although still male-led, the difference between male and female employees narrowed considerably.
