Feedback of Ramanand Swami From India: the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habit

The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habit

The chart provides information about the proportion of people in five Australian cities who consumed coffee and tea in the last four weeks.

Overall, people in most cities preferred going to cafés to purchase drinks such as instant or fresh coffee, except in Adelaide, where buying instant coffee was the most common → buying instant coffee at home was the most common. In general, instant coffee was consumed more widely than fresh coffee, and the pattern of consumption varied between cities.

In Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart, the gap was high between these three cities… which was about or more than 15% → the difference between instant and fresh coffee consumption was substantial, at around 15% or more. In contrast, the gap in Melbourne and Sydney was narrower, which was from 2% to 7% percent → ranging from 2% to 7%.

Regarding visits to cafés, Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart recorded the highest proportion of people buying coffee on-site. Brisbane also had a high figure, at approximately 55%, while Adelaide – the figure was still merely on top → ranked second, but the percentage of people going to cafés there was noticeably lower than in the other cities.
